KARDZHALI FOOTBALL STADIUM

Kardzhali Football Stadium is situated between the Arda River and the main urban axis, within a key area of the city’s landscape. The project has been conceived not only as a sports facility but also as a multifunctional center supporting the city’s social and cultural life.

Designed with a capacity of approximately 15,000 spectators, the stadium features fully covered stands to provide comfortable viewing conditions under all weather circumstances. The complex also includes cafeterias, retail units, press and VIP areas, as well as indoor sports halls.

The design is based on a spatial organization that integrates sporting, commercial, and social functions into a coherent whole. On the side facing the main street and swimming pool, a public plaza has been created, establishing a strong relationship between the stadium and the surrounding urban fabric through its social and commercial activities.

In terms of architectural language, dynamic mass movements, permeable façades, and a form sensitive to the public scale have been emphasized. As a result, the project presents a contemporary, functional, and iconic sports facility that harmonizes with the city’s identity.
