BATUM MENTAL HEALTH HOSPITAL

Designed for San Medical Co. in Batumi, Georgia, the Batumi Mental Health Campus comprises a new 6,000 m² mental health hospital, a 2,000 m² outpatient and imaging centre, and 14,000 m² of renewed patient wards. The 800-bed campus accommodates varying levels of care through room typologies from single to four-person occupancy. The defining design principle was to create spaces that support psychiatric recovery: privacy-protecting plan configuration, continuous interaction with natural light and landscaping, and a calming environment. BIM-based planning facilitated functional efficiency, flexibility, and sustainability.
